At Pencwm Escapes, we’ve taken the serenity of our car-free meadow and added a touch of rustic luxury. Our safari tents offer a curated glamping experience, perfect for those who want to disconnect from the noise of the world while enjoying high-end comforts under the West Wales sky.
This is off-grid living at its finest. You’ll have ample room to relax and explore, with the added benefit of private facilities that ensure you aren’t "roughing it" in the slightest.

Car-Free & Carefree: Our meadow remains a safe haven for kids and wildlife. We provide wheelbarrows for your gear, and I’m always happy to help you settle in if I’m around!
Space to Breathe: Each tent is positioned to offer privacy and comfort, allowing you to truly soak in the landscape.
The Real Campfire Vibe: Every safari tent features its own fire pit. You can pick up high-quality wood and farm-fresh eggs from our Honesty Shop, or rent a BBQ tripod for an open-air feast.
Genuinely Dog-Friendly: We love four-legged guests! Your first 2 dogs stay for free, and you can bring up to 4 dogs per tent (£3 each thereafter). We just ask that they stay on a lead to protect our local wildlife.
Your Private Facilities
Allocated Luxury Bathrooms: Forget the communal trek. Each tent has its own private bathroom featuring a hot rainfall shower and a clean, eco-friendly compost toilet.
Covered Outdoor Living: Enjoy the fresh air regardless of the weather with a fully covered outdoor kitchen and seating area.
Chef’s Corner: Your kitchen comes ready for action with a gas stove and all the pots, pans, and utensils you need.
Private Washing Up: A dedicated, covered washing-up station is located right at your tent.
Stay Connected: While the tents are off-grid, a communal charging station is available for your devices, and bike storage is available in our Dutch Barn.
2026 Safari Tent Rates
Nightly Rate: £75.00 per night
GCC Fee: £12.00 (One-off fee)
Capacity: Sleeps 4 adults, plus 1 child or infant (on a foam mattress or travel cot).
The Greener Camping Club
Pencwm Escapes is a certified Greener Camping Club site. To stay with us, at least one occupant of the pitch must be a member.
Membership Fee: £12.00 per family/pitch.
How it works: Membership is an annual fee and is added as an extra at the time of your booking.
I handle the admin: Once you book, I handle the administration for you. I will process your membership and send you the digital information, giving you access to eco-friendly campsites across the UK for the entire year.
